Mrs. Cooper

My name is Martha Cooper. I have been married to a wonderful man who has lead our home in following Christ for 31 years. We have two children, who both graduated from HCS and are now serving the Lord in a full time capacity. Nathan is the Media Minister at Hilltop church and School and his wife is a 6th grade teacher, and assistant volleyball coach. We just became empty-nesters when our daughter married and moved to Wilmington this summer to teach junior high and high school math and English at Wilmington Christian Academy, while her husband is youth pastor at Cape fear Free will Baptist Church.

We have been attending Hilltop Church since we moved here from W.Va. 24 years ago. I have been teaching at HCS for 16 years, 15 in 1st grade. I have also been coaching our ladies volleyball team for 9 years. I am amazed that God could use me. My volleyball and class thought for this year is: “It matters not what people think of me, it matters what they think of Christ because of me.”

I desire to help you train your children in the way God would have them to go.

Webegan to study history in January. For the section of traveling around the world; I assign each child a country to research and present to the class. I have found they learn more about their individual country and enjoy hearing what others  have learned. Each child will choose or be assigned a country; they will find interesting facts and information about the country. They will make a poster or power point presentation to present to the class. They will also bring a food that represents that country for everyone to taste. If you have been in a country or have some personal relationship with a country; let me know and I will make sure your child has that country. I will send specific information home at a later date. This project will be due in Mid to late March
